- Article 1
- The Clinical Ladder System and Certification (hereinafter the Certification) for Nurse Practitioners are established to improve the clinical professional ability of nurse practitioners and the quality of patient care.
- Article 2
- The term “nurse practitioner” refers to the registered professional nurse who has obtained the nurse practitioner certificate from the Ministry of Health and Welfare (hereinafter the NP)
- Article 3
- Those who meet the criteria for the professional competence of any level may apply for certification.
- Article 4
- There are five levels in the promotion system, including the NP I (Novice level), NP II (Advanced beginner level), NP III (Competent level), NP IV (Proficient level) and NP V (Expert level).
- Article 5
- Those who meet the qualifications for certification under the Clinical Ladder System for Nurse Practitioners shall submit the required supporting documents and electronic files based on Table 1 'Basic Requirements' and Table 2 'Supporting Documents of Practical Professional Ability Indicators for Nurse Practitioners' for levels NP II to NP V, and apply online through the Association’s website.

Application Methods, Certificate Issuance, and Certification Fees:
- The application methods and certificate issuance are divided into full review and partial review:
(1) Full Review: The review covers the basic requirements and supporting documents of the professional ability indicators for each level of the Clinical Ladder System. After the review is passed, the certificate for the corresponding level will be issued.Note: If the review is not passed (except for NP II), a partial review may be requested within the validity period of the supporting documents. Passing the partial review will be considered equivalent to passing the full review.(2) Partial Review: This review only covers the case study, evidence-based case report, and clinical guideline development (or applied research) for each level. After the review is passed, a certificate of approval for the submitted documents will be issued.
The application must be accompanied by the consent of the Nurse Practitioner Committee of the hospital. (Link) - Re-issuance Method: In case of loss or damage to the certificate, the applicant must submit a re-issuance application form via email and pay the re-issuance fee to the Association.

Review Procedure
- Applications are accepted twice a year, which are from April 1 to April 30 and from October 1 to October 31.
- Applicants with incomplete submissions will be notified by the Secretariat and given two weeks to provide the missing documents. If the deadline is missed, the application will not be accepted, and no fees will be refunded."

- This regulation was approved by the Board of Directors and Supervisors of the Association and shall take effect from the date of promulgation. The same applies to any amendments
